ABOUT

Michael Weschler is an experienced photographer and director equally adept at capturing moments both iconic and intimate. Whether shooting portraits and ad campaigns, or directing commercials and short films, his cinematic sensibility and eye for detail has lead to an an array of indelible content. MW specializes in lifestyle imagery, capturing people in spaces, portraying famous people as regular folks and making real people more heroic.

Michael has had a camera in his hands since age three and soon after started shooting portraits of his friends, eventually shooting for the New York Times for over a decade, building a foundation in photojournalism. After first studying Architecture, using photography as a tool to draw better, he moved on to Fine Art Photography at Cal State University, Long Beach. His work has since graced more than thirty magazine covers and has been exhibited in art galleries and museums around the world.

Michael is a mentor to young photographers, also donating his time and services to several charity groups, including cancer survivors and victims of abuse. Based in New York City, but always on the move, he travels frequently for shoots across the country and around the world, while also completing nine triathlons in his spare time.

Michael and his crew have also undertaken professionally certified training to produce safe and CDC-compliant projects during these challenging times. With creative strategy, whatever it is can be done and nothing makes MW and his team happier than solving visual problems and bringing something new and original into the universe.
